神奈川県茅ヶ崎市出身。小・中学校をＮＹ・ＮＪで過ごし、慶応ＮＹ学院へ入学。メディア産業論を専攻する。J-WAVEの人気番組「Grooveline」（月～金17:00～20:00）のＤＪを中心に、TV/映画/CMナレーション、通訳や字幕翻訳、コラムや音楽レビューといった執筆まで幅広く活動中。RIPSLYMEや福山雅治をはじめアーティストアルバム参加など、活躍は多岐にわたる。趣味は旅行、映画、自転車、ペットショップ巡り。最近は「ボサギター」にハマってるとか。声優として参加した映画『ユメ十夜』が2007年1月下旬公開。

Fumika Hideshima was born in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, lived in New York and New Jersey during her elementary and junior high school years, and then went to Keio Academy of New York to study media industries. Now she hosts "Grooveline" on J-Wave weekdays 5pm to 8pm, and also appearing on TV programs and movies, narrating TV commercials, interpreting, translating, and writing columns and music reviews. She also works with RIPSLYME and Masaharu Fukuyama. She enjoys taking trips, watching movies and looking around pet shops. Now what attracts her is bossa nova guitar. And she had a voice acting role in the movie called "Yome-Juya", which is about to be released in January, 2007.

デジタルカメラは旅の大切な友です。特に「誰も知らないってさみしくない!?」と心配される一人旅には強力な助っ人。「交流したい、でもキッカケが…」そんな時に大活躍するのです。
とりあえず、現地に着く前に覚える言葉は三つ。「ありがとう」「おいしい」そして「写真とってください（笑顔を忘れずに!!）」これさえ覚えておけば、あとは、英語が通じない国でもなんとかなる!!
優秀な手ブレ防止機能は、ちびっこやおばあちゃんに頼んでも安心。「押すだけよ!!」のしぐさでお願いすれば、誰でも名カメラマン。撮ったばかりの写真をその場で一緒に見て一緒に笑えば、お互いの距離は一気に縮まります。写真をきっかけに、世間話が始まり、旅の情報交換、さらには恋バナから人生論、盛り上がれば一緒にご飯をシェアしながら、しまいにはお互い肩を組んで「イエーイ、記念撮影!!」なんてやってる。
知らない街をただひたすら歩きまくり、慣れない言葉でやり取りを交わした一日の終わりの心地良い疲労感。寝る前に、ベッドの中でその日撮った写真を眺めるのは至福のひと時です。果たして、明日はどんな景色、どんな人達との出会いがあるのか？
さぁ、次は西か東か!?　北か南か!?

The digital camera is your good company when you take a trip. People may worry about your traveling alone but the camera is a great help when you struggle to find the chance to talk to anyone. First of all, you've gotta learn three local phrases before you arrive in the country, "Thank you", "delicious", and "Could you please take my picture?" If you know these phrases, thing will work out even if no one speaks English there. Preventing camera shake function even makes kids and old ladies a good photographer. All you have to do is act pressing the button. Then you look at the picture and laugh together to be close to each other. Now you can start with social conversation, talk about love and life, and take pictures together holding each other's shoulders. Agreeable fatigue after walking and walking around an unfamiliar town and talking in an unfamiliar language all day long.It's the happiest moment to look at the pictures taken on the day in the bed.Who and what do you see tomorrow?
