1973年、横浜生まれの31歳。“レペゼン・ストリート系”の「WARP MAGAZINE JAPAN」、“モテるオヤジ系”「LEON」を経て、現在の“ストリートを通過した大人の不良は必読”「SENSE」副編集長に。各雑誌でファッションや音楽を担当。レッド・ホット・チリ・ペッパーズ、リンプ・ビズキット、リンキン・パーク、ジャスティン・ティンバーレイクなどのミュージシャンのインタビューやファッション撮影で海外へ飛ぶこともしばしば。特に、最近の“セレブ”流行りで再注目のLAは大得意。何よりもおいしい食事とお酒（特にシャンパン）、いい音楽が好きの快楽主義者（！？）。今春は、白いテーラードジャケット、ピンクベースの花柄シャツに白フレームのサングラスの“マイアミスタイル”で決めるつもり。

Digital photo life

すぐに取り出せるようにいつもケースには入れずにポケットに放り込んでいます。 デジカメはいつも持ち歩いてます。編集の仕事って、プライベートと仕事の境目がないんです。友達と食事している時、ふっと「ここのレストランで撮影したらいいかも……」なんて思ったり、街を歩いていて新しいお店を見つけたりなんてこともあります。「今日はデジカメで撮影しよう」なんて気合い入れてカメラを持ち歩くのではなく、ラフにポケットに入れておいて「あっ！」と思った時にシャッターを押す。そう僕にとって“普段着感覚”のデジカメがEXILIMです。洋服の展示会で気になったアイテムをカシャ。海外ミュージシャンと一緒にインタビュー後にカシャ。デジタルギア好きが多いミュージシャンはEXILIMに興味シンシン、「この薄いデジカメは最新モデルか」などなど質問攻めにあうこともしばしばです。今回は、春のファッション撮影でLA&パームスプリングスへ行ってきた時に撮った写真を紹介していきます。

I always have it shoved in my pocket naked, so that I can take it out right away. I carry my camera around with me all the time. Editing job really has no boundary between my private life, and my business life. When I am having dinner with my friends, I think, "this restaurant may be good for a photo shoot.." or, when I am just wandering around town, I find a good shop for a coverage. So I always have it in my pocket roughly so that I can take immediate shots at times when I think I feel in need of taking a photo of "this moment!" Like a shot of an item that interested me at a clothing exhibition or a shot with a foreign musician after an interview. Musician who like digital devices get really interested in EXILIM. I often get questions like, "is this thin camera the newest model?" I will be introducing photos of a fashion photo shoot at LA & Palm Springs in last spring.
This time I made a solo trip to Thailand.　Traveling alone makes it difficult to take a picture of oneself. Still, I　thought I would take a picture of myself during this trip, and took a shot　of my face reflected in the hotel room mirror, with the resulting picture　making me look better than I actually am.
