1980年2月24日　京都府出身
2002年8月29日　日本武道館における安田忠夫戦でデビュー。アメリカ・ロス道場で格闘技修行を積む等、デビュ－当時から総合格闘技の試合にも出場し、新日本プロレスの最前線で活躍する。
2004年、棚橋との新世代タッグで、第47代IWGPタッグ王者となる。
2003年、大阪大会で天山の持つベルトに初挑戦で勝利、第34代IWGPヘビー級王者となる。デビューわずか約1年4ヶ月史上最年少での載冠で新日プロレスの歴史を塗り替えた。
2004年、IWGPヘビー級＆NWFヘビー級王座統一戦ではNWF第2代王者となる。
2006年には海外修行で肉体改造に成功。2007年に結成したユニット「RISE」のリーダ－を務める。
2008年、第48代IWGPヘビー級王者獲得。新世代のエースとして活躍している同世代の中でも人気と実力を兼ね備えたトップレスラー。

Born in Kyoto on February 24th, 1980. Made his debut on August 29th, 2002 with the match-up to Tadao Yasuda. Since his debut, he has appeared in the field of Mixed Martial Arts, trained at the dojo in Los Angeles. Now he fights on the front line of New Japan Pro-wrestling. In 2004, he and Tanahashi formed a tag team representing the new generation and became the 47th IWGP tag-team champions. In 2003, he defeated Tenzan and won the 34th IWGP heavyweight championship with his first challenge. He won the championship in sixteen months after his debut and broke the youngest championship record of New Japan Pro-wrestling. In 2004, he became the second NWF heavyweight championship in the result of the unifying match of IWGP and NWF championships. In 2006, he went abroad and succeeded in building up his body. In 2007, he became the leader of RISE. In2008, he became the 48th IWGP heavyweight championship and now he is a popular, competent top-ranking pro-wrestler and leads the generation.

色んなコンパクトサイズのデジタルカメラに触れてきたが、このEX-FH20は初めて手にした本格派。EX-FH20はバリバリの硬派なカメラかと思いつつ、操作は至って簡単、親切設計。コンパクトには無い分厚い感触が素人の俺にプロっぽさを感じさせてくれます。（笑）
ツアーで行った街の風景を撮影。観光名所にいる一眼レフを持った玄人にはシンパシーを感じました。
もの凄い機能『スーパースロー』を使って試合前に自分の技をチェックしてみました。
アート展の準備、様子も撮りました。
その他、色々撮り続けています。
最高に楽しいカメラであることは間違いない。

I have used many compact digital cameras and this EX-FH20 is the first full-scale model for me. EX-FH20 seems solid but it's so easy to use. Its stateliness makes me feel that I'm professional, me, just an amateur. I took pictures of the scenery I visited, and felt sympathy for the trained who has a single-lens reflex camera. I used the "super slow" function and checked my maneuvers before a match. And also I took pictures of the art exhibition, etc... What does seem sure is that this is the most enjoyable camera you've ever had.
