カメラケースにしているのは　実は中国の携帯電話ケースです。『胡同』とよばれる北京の横丁で小物屋さんをやってる孫さん手づくりの作品。まもなく北京五輪にむけて取り壊されてしまう胡同。孫さんの胡同での最後の作品になりました。そんな思い出のケースにEXILIMはぴったり入ってくれました。さてさてこのEXILIM、コンパクトなので小ぶりの私の手でも使いやすいです。構えたとき、ちょうど親指でカメラを支えたいなぁというところに、親指がフィットする小さなカーブがついてるんですよね。しかも、それがストラップホールになってるなんて。そんなところが嬉しいです。今回のテーマは、そうですねぇ、「匂いたつ日常」にしてみます。

I use a cell phone case made in China as a camera case. This is hand-made by Mr. Son who runs a fancy goods store at a side street called futong in Beijing.Futong will be torn down soon for the Olympic Game. This the last work by him at Futong. EXILIM fits this memorable case. This camera is so compact and easy to use for my small hands. When you hold it to shoot, the small curve fits your thumb. It's the very best point to hold it. The curve also works as a strap hole. The theme is,,, "Fragrant Days".
